Everybody treats everybody around here like their friend. Our management has cook outs for us. It’s just all around a good company to work for. I’ve been in other industries and I would never leave Home Depot, because I love the working environment.

So the work that we do here at night is basically we unload trucks. And then we, as a team, pack everything out onto the shelves. Make sure that the shelves are packed down and straightened fully. You’re not just doing one thing, you’re doing several things at one time. The kind of problems I solve are anything mundane from how to fix a sink. Sometimes it’s crazier stuff like hey my kid needs to build a T-REX out of pvc. And the things you learn on the job are things that can directly help you. If you have an apartment, if you have a home, if you want to go out on your own and do contractor handyman work, you’re going to learn so much.

I love the bonding, co-workers, and most of all I like the advancement that the company has. The hours, the time we come in, the time we get off. I still have time to do things in the afternoon and in today’s economy, you want to have a job you know is going to be there. They are not getting ready to go out of business. Needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding. Your focus is making sure the products have a label, they’re clean, they’re stocked, just that everything looks, what they call, grand opening ready.

At the time of writing, petrol was sitting at an average price of £169.8p in autumn 2022 – meaning you’re looking at a bill of more than £90 to fill the Sportage’s tank from empty. The capacity of an EV’s battery is typically expressed in kilowatt hours – the same metric used to measure your home’s energy consumption. The grant is capped at £350 and open to electric car owners with access to off-street parking. If you’re looking at £800 for installing an EV home charger, the grant will take the cost down to around £450.

‘Pod Point’ is one of the largest providers of charging stations to businesses across the country, with over 3,000 charging stations already in place. How to charge an electric car

This is something you should consider when purchasing your new EV to make sure you’re getting the most for your money. These types of chargers offer more or less the same as the above but are almost always more expensive, in the same way that petrol and diesel prices are higher on motorways. Using a public charging point to give your EV a boost is a great way to recharge if you’re on the go or don’t have access to a home charger. There are apps that will help you locate these charging points, and they’ll usually show up on online maps and navigation systems, but prices will vary depending on where you choose to charge.

A faster charger means that the electricity is ‘pumped’ into your car at a faster rate, but the battery can still only take so much electricity. This capacity means that a full charge will cost the same at home regardless of which type of charger you are using. Access is granted via an app or membership card, and is available as a pay-as-you-go or subscription service. Electric vehicles all offer different levels of efficiency, so the model you pick will also impact your costs of charging. Something that’s not super-efficient will need charging more often, so will naturally have higher running costs.
